On Tuesday we collected assignment #1.
Talked about graphing systems of linear equations and finding out without a graph how many solutions a system would have if any.
If m’s are the same, lines must intersect and therefore 1 solution only.
If m’s are the same, but their y-intercepts are different then the lines are parallel and would never meet, therefore no possible solutions.
If m’s and y-intercepts are both the same, then the lines are identical and any point on one is also on the other, therefore infinite number of solutions.
Assigned #25-30 on p11 for Wednesday. Will return assignment #1 today Wednesday.
